PREVENTION OF MOTHER TO CHILD TRANSMISSION
A journey of Motherhood
For over two years from 2012-2014, UNICEF and The Global Fund funded a project to follow six women living with HIV throughout their pregnancies in South Africa and Malawi, two countries hit very hard by HIV. Here are their journeys of delivering healthy babies free of HIV.
Becoming Beautiful
UNICEF funded another long-term project that stretched over a 2-year period, allowing Leonie Marinovich to return periodically to the tiny village of Ha Radiseme, high in the Eastern highlands of Lesotho, to visit Tselane Thamae and later, her baby girl, Dintle (which translates as Beautiful from SeSotho).
